A career at Mayo Clinic offers you a wealth of opportunities, but most essentially it allows you to make a difference.
At Mayo Clinic, we combine the latest medical and technological expertise with a special "human touch" in providing patient care of the highest standards. The result is a thorough yet personal approach to medical diagnosis and treatment.
Mayo Clinic is a multispecialty outpatient clinic emphasizing the team approach to delivering health care. A premier academic medical center, Mayo Clinic in Arizona focuses on providing specialty and surgical care in more than 66 disciplines, including programs in cancer and organ transplantation.
As an integrated medical practice, Mayo Clinic is comprised of the outpatient facility in north Scottsdale, Mayo Clinic Hospital in northeast Phoenix, and several primary care centers located throughout the metropolitan Phoenix area, including the Mayo Center for Women's Health.
Located on a beautiful 284-acre Sonoran desert location in the foothills of the McDowell Mountains, Mayo Clinic's Scottsdale campus includes the five-story outpatient building, the Samuel C. Johnson Medical Research Center, several administrative buildings and a scenic nature trail.
Patients can receive most of their health-care services in one location at Mayo Clinic. In addition to 240 exam rooms, the Clinic includes an outpatient surgery center, full-service laboratory, X-ray facilities, radiation oncology treatment center, pharmacy, patient education library, and a 188-seat auditorium for educational programs.
The Johnson Research building is just across a parking area on the campus. Currently, eight principal investigators and their teams of scientists conduct research in areas including breast cancer, asthma, Hepatitis C and cystic fibrosis.
Mayo Clinic patients who require hospitalization are admitted to Mayo Clinic Hospital, located on a 210-acre site in the high growth corridor of northeast Phoenix. First opened in 1998, it is the first hospital ever planned, designed, and built from the ground up by Mayo Clinic. The landscaped five-story atrium, which rises from the main lobby, serves as the centerpiece of this breathtaking 244-licensed bed facility.
Mayo Clinic Hospital contains many technological innovations, like electronic medical records' filmless X-ray and telemetry to monitor vital signs in every patient room. The hospital supports patients seen in all of the outpatient clinic's 66 medical and surgical specialty programs, including organ transplantation. Today, more than 275 physicians and more than 3,500 support staff, including about 100 Clinic-based residents and fellows, serve our patients who come from 50 states and 80 countries.
Mayo Clinic is an affirmative action equal opportunity educator and employer.
